Born and raised in Korea, he always dreamed of living abroad. He traveled to many countries around the world and eventually settled in Shanghai, China, and lived there for 8 years. In January 2020, he visited Seoul to spend the Lunar New Year holidays, but soon after his arrival, the pandemic broke out. Unable to return to Shanghai, he settled back in Seoul.
During the pandemic, with indoor activities restricted, he started a walking group to meet friends and exercise. The group quickly grew, and he eventually founded SeoulShare. By exploring Seoul with SeoulShare members, he rediscovered the city's charm and formed meaningful friendships. The city he once longed to leave has finally become his true hometown.
He majored in industrial engineering at Korea University and lived in the UK and the USA for three years during his university studies. After graduation, he worked in the overseas marketing team at LG Electronics. Later, he moved to Shanghai, where he ran a training center.
Throughout his life, he has organized and hosted various events and cultural exchange programs, such as planting trees in the deserts of China and visiting social enterprises in the US with middle school students. It seems it was no mere coincidence that he founded SeoulShare. He is also a certified tour guide, and you might spot him guiding tourists in colorful hanbok at Gyeongbokgung when he is off SeoulShare duties.
